Weddings

Newly weds and a view over Maidstone

Wedding ceremony: (church or civil ceremony)

I will play for 15 minutes before your ceremony as your guests arrive. I usually play a celtic selection of music at this point as this sets a calm and romantic atmosphere. You will then need to choose music for the following:

Bridal entry

Music during the signing of the registers

Exit of bride and groom

I have a sample repertoire list that you can choose from or I am happy for couples to visit and discuss music. I can also learn new music if it is suitable for the harp.Should you wish, I can also play the organ for hymns at a church wedding at a small extra charge.

Drinks reception:

An entertaining way to greet your guests as they arrive at the reception.

I will play a selection of light classics and popular songs for up to an hour and a half, making the perfect background and setting an easy going ambience.

I also have a celtic harp which I can bring with me as well. It stands over 4’ high and has an extremely strong bright tone. This is more portable than the concert harp and is useful in the summer months if your drinks reception is outside and the weather is unsettled. Also it means that I can accompany your guests if they follow the photographer to distant parts of the venue!

Reception meal:

I play as your guests arrive and take their seats and then for an hour and a half during your wedding meal.

Again, I play a selection of music which aims to have something in the repertoire for each of the many age groups represented at an average wedding.

I am always more than happy for guests to chat to me about the harp and for children to have a go.
